My Grandad used to say this little rhyme/tale to me and I can't remember how it ends, does anyone know it? "Shall I tell you a tale, about a snail?, Shall I begin it? That's all that's in it. Shall I tell you another, about his brother ...................." Do you know how it ends? Please help it's been bugging me for a while, and Grandad isn't around to ask any more and noone else remembers it
I'll tell you a story about John McGorry
now I'll begin it
that's all that's in it
I'll tell you another
about his brother
he had an awl
and 'e nailed it to the wall
that's all
I'll tell you a tale about a snail
Who jumped in t'fire and burnt his tail
I'll tell you another about his brother
He did the same the silly old ****** !
