Todd Sloan was an American jockey in the early 20th century. So, "On my todd" was used in rhyming slang as "On my Todd Sloan" to mean "On my own".
Which is obviously why it was scripted in the new Oliver Twist production! Gotta love it, me ole mo chara!
that was written with a remarkably tin ear, Octavius, I gave up halfway through.
No I found Oz & James followed by Hestons ridiculously complicated trifle recipe (black olive puree????) far more entertaining than that, so only caught the one or two lines between programmes. Funny how these east-end-hard-done-by-orphan�s have the air of Sylvia Young about them, aint�ent it?!
