Disabled toilet

Did you know that it's not considered PC to say Disabled Toilet? Apparently you have to say Wheelchair Accessible Toilet.

I mean, we don't want to offend the loos now, do we?

I always think a disabled toilet is one that wont work !
last time I went to London at the Tube station it said "Dogs must be carried on the Escalator " so i had to use the stairs !!!!!!!!

I didn't have my dog with me, to be abe to use the escalator so I used the stairs.

well its called a disabled toilet where I am from, we are probably less anal here...

Accessable should suffice. I think that there are people who dont like being referred to as disabled, such as an elderly person for example who may have to use a wheelchair or need to use a handle to get on and off the toilet. They dont have to be disabled, just frail or weak.

We got a leaflet in college telling is what we are and are not allowed to say. Although it was funny....

The betting must be that whatever building or health and safety regulations control these matters use the exact words 'Wheelchair accessible toilet' and not 'disabled toilet'. So official documents use those official words.'Disabled toilet' is a slightly awkward expression, like 'this door is alarmed' or 'alarmed door' are (how frightened is the door?) suggesting that it's the toilet that's disabled.

What a load of rubbish as a loo for the disabled , has to be wheelchair friendly , another jobsworths trying to get more brownie points to go up the ladder .

In a college I work at the signs are for 'Male Toilets' and 'Female Toilets', I cringe every time I pass them!

The toilets at our local Tesco are signed for 'men' and 'ladies'. Class distinction, I'd call it!
