why are dusters usually yellow?

Generally dusters are yellow in colour but why ?
Is it tod o with the material or some other convention?

In1861 at the funeral of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria was seen to holding back the tears with a white handkerchief. However, from her carriage window, Victoria heard a small child ask if the the Queen was dusting? The Queen was not amused, and ordered that in future dusters should be produced in a colour other than white. The manufacturers chose yellow.
