Does anybody know the origin of this phrase, and whether it is good english to use this? As in "He blasted the secy left, right and center"

I don't know the origin, but I'd say it's perfectly acceptable to use in the way you suggest. Just another of those odd English idioms.
What does 'secy' mean? From your description it sounds as though a character is shooting something. I would say that 'left, right and centre' smacks of cliche, but that it is otherwise an acceptable description.
What is a 'secy'?

Oh Sorry! Secy is sms/email short form for Secretary.
