What is it called when pirates take over a ship? It is mutiny when the crew turn but is it piracy or pirated if its pirates?

Piracy generally (as we know it) refers to a robbery committed at sea. But this more often refers to goods, chattels and weapons.

If a pirate were to take over another ship it would probably be commandeered. If it was their own ship, then yes a mutiny I guess.
