COUNTDOWN - Thirteens

On this afternoons Countdown the (brilliant) 11 year old on there came up with a 9 letter word - THIRTEENS .............. can anyone give me a sentence using THIRTEENS as I really can't see when it would be used...... dad suggested
....... the were grouped together in thirteens ......
but surely the correct phrase here would be
....... put into groups of thirteen?

I don't know what R1Geeser's problem is. Is it worth him/her getting stroppy about something as trivial as this?
