Pronounced LEE lands or LAY lands. Any ideas of which is correct?

I don.t know in your case, but my daughter lives near a village called Leigh Sinton and this is pronounced LIE SINTON

Thanks. I'm in similar situation as I live here but local pronunciation varies!

Some say Lee as in Vivienne Leigh the actress but others Lay as in sleigh.

Shall I just move?!

Its also the same for the town of Leigh in Lancashire (possibly Greater Manchester) it is pronounced both ways
