I think the original is All's fair in Love's war which makes for easier reading....
no..all's fair in love and war is correct. This is often used by someone who has just stollen someone elses love. A man would say "all is fair in love and war" after he get's the girl to compare love as being like war in ways that they both have no rules and that it is an open battlefield and that all is fair.
