Elysium, also known as the Elysian Fields features in both Ancient Greek and Roman mythologies. The Greeks believed Elysium was the furtherst point of land, where souls were carried to enjoy their favourite pastimes, and worries were uknown. The Romans believed Elysium was a part of the underworld, and it was a home to the virtuous dead, especially those who died in battle for Rome.
