Hi ABers just wondered if anyone can enlighten me as to the meaning of these railway initials used on blockade /track renewal paperwork? PAP I believe means Possession Arrival Point, I am therefore assumaing PDP is the opposite i.e. Possession departure Point. However what are WAR & SLG? Any assistance gratefully recieved.

when I was a lad, "SLG" was single line gantries - a tracklaying system occupying only one track. http://www.ontrackplant.com/photo/78410

Thanks Mushroom25, I found this out today! WAR is work as required, apparently! I don't fancy that bugger dropping a 60' length on me, so to speak!
