Surely AB is for queries not answered in dictionaries? Such things as colloquialisms, regional idioms etc.

Also what is a 'tomboy', scarcely qualifies as history, does it?

Hi, I think what kyukarate was asking (correct me if I'm wrong) was why are girls who act boyishly referred to as Tomboys as opposed to Jimboys or Bobboys etc..
