Hello EVers,
I didn't hand around solving this weeks offering, even resolving the clashes didn't keep me in suspense!
I'll be absent for the next two weeks, off on holiday, so please accept my apologies for absence!

For some reason the search facility failed to find this thread. As I said on that thread, an enjoyable puzzle but one that shouldn't require anyone to break a leg or indeed anything else to solve it.
Hope you enjoy your holiday DocHH - going anywhere nice?

Hola one and all; my traveling adventures are over for the time being (till my Sierras trek in late July) so I was able to get this done last night after driving back from Chicago. A very nice EV, I thought, with some well-disguised misprints. Chalicea has also set this months Crossword Centre prize puzzle, for those looking for more to do.
Lots of yard work to catch up on, supposed to hit 91 in StL today (after 97 yesterday). Ugh.
Enjoy your holiday Doc!

Excellent time in Winchester, now can recommend verious eating establishments in the area!
Latest EV was just down my street, feel very proud as I did almost all (including the quote) on the coach home.........with only a pencil for assistance..........please forgive excessive being pleased with self, it is so rare I am not floundering around begging for clues, can't help it!
How are the weeds Christina? Are your apple trees looking like mine...loaded? Have decided to invest in a heavy duty juicer this year and juice the lot, keeps perfectly in the freezer in discarded 1l tonic bottles.

Hi DD. Yes, my apple trees are loaded too. I agree about the juicing, but my two heaviest croppers are cookers, so guess I will either have to juice those with added sugar or ..... or what. I am still wading through the stewed apples, on their own and with every other combination of fruits known to man, that I froze last year. What I'm very happy about is that my two peach trees also seem to have a heavy crop. Last year we had ONE peach between the two of them. I've no idea whether they drop some of the fruit or not, as it's only my second year here and I've not had peach trees before.
