I go with friar. Mendicant friars relied on the goodwill offerings of those they visited for survival.

this is a bit iffy but a mendicant beggar is a beggar who is faulty (crippled) and a nendacious lair is a faulty liar so could be liar.

Yes writesbad- I was wondering whether to point out that after asking 33 questions he/she had at least given 4 answers- but then I noticed all the 'answers' were in fact crossword questions he /she had asked by hijacking other threads!
