12 across. Clue: Food offered by a grim Chinese (3,7). I have ?A? E?S?E?N. I can see EASTERN for the second word but PAN? doesn't seem to make sense.

Also.26 across. Clue: A point taken on board by active person who extends a family welcome? (7). I have: A???T??

Help please.

Thanks kayak. Can you confirm two more:

23. Clue: Priest hides very small bulge (5). I have: C?R?E. I thought CURVE but it seems weak. Similarly, 24 down. Clue: Eropean location where it is always cold (4). I have ?O?E. I thought POLE but again seems weak.

Yes Curve.. V (very small) in CURE (priest)
