Having a bit of a problem with the bottom half of this crossword. I would be grateful for help and I thank in advance for any help given. Maybe if I can have the answers for 50A and 20D it will get me going on a lot of the others.

It's not a question at all but rather a Big Thank you to people like Lie-in King and the others like him who regularly offer answers and explanations. I have been trying to train myself by examining the answers you have provided and the reasoning and for a few weeks now I have been able to complete each puzzle without help. I feel quite good about that! But I really do owe a huge thank you to those who generously share their experience and knowledge. It has been, for me, like attending a Master Class by Internet. I still have to work hard at finding and understanding all the answers but I wouldn't have been able to attempt them without the understanding you have provided.
