I have to tell you I think I must be in love with you ...
(intellectually speaking!). I dreamed I met you last night, and was totally tongue-tied! Probably a combination of my awe of you (you helped me with my final letter in the Mephisto this week, and many a letter over the past umpteen years!), and my listening to John Graham ('Auricaria') on Radio 4's "Desert Island Discs" this week!
You are such a polite and patient gentleman on Answerbank. I never post a question unless I am at my wit's end, so thank you for your rescues in the past and for the future!

Thank you for your kind words.
I enjoy helping where I can and it is gratifying to know that my assistance is appreciated.
Like you I listened to Araucaria on Desert Island Discs and was surprised by his choice of a Procol Harum record and his favourite of all the crossword clues he'd set.
Regarding your cryptic clue, I'm afraid that my answer would be censored by the answerbank filters so I better not post my solution!
