Birds in at least three quarrels(8) Have sparrows which fits but for the life of me cannot figure 'at least three'. Rows as in quarrels or quarrels as in arrows but 'at least three' .. I'm lost! Help appreciated.

It reads to me that the 3 comes from spar x 1 and row x 2 as it's plural, which would cover the sp? Not a great clue imho though

Ah- I see housemeouse. So arrows has nothing to do with it (the quarrels/arrows link is just a coincidence)

Thanks everyone for replies but stupid me still doesn't get it, Spar - the boxing term or archaic for friend or what? Where does at least three come in?

joe - spar and row both mean quarrel. as row is plural that gives 3 quarrels.

A spar is a quarrel.
A row is a quarrel so rows = at least 2 quarrels.
So spar + rows = at least 3 quarrels
