Anyone help me please? 29a Cut (8) I have excision but I can't fit any other solutions around it. Any help would be much appreciated

The only sure one I have is an "e" at the beginning. It's the answers to 13d
Old fashioned (10) and 15d exciting and impressive (8) I can't get to square with excision. Of course Imay be totally wrong about the entire thing!

Sorry, I don't have the puzzle - which letter from 'antiquated' crosses the space for "Cut"?
