Stuck on the last one and I cant find any referrences in any of my dictionaries.........any help would be appreciated.
7d old term for one who delivers a funeral oration. E?O?I?T I can only get egotist but that cant be right.

Are you sure about the 'o'? Otherwise could it be 'elegist'?

Thank you VERY much Ouzel. Ive looked at that word a couple of times and wrongly dismissed it!

Thanks Beckersjay.....I thought that too but the O is definitely correct. Ouzel has saved the day!
I looked up elogist but couldn't find it in any dictionary!!

elogist is in Chambers under 'eloge'

beckersjay you may be referring to elegy which is written by an elegist, generally a poet.
An eloge is something more specific to a tribute spoken at a funeral and is delivered by an elogist. Seems a bit archaic now I guess
I would have spelled it Eulogist - is that an alternative spelling?
