I know I am very late doing this one but I wonder if somebody could help. I have got the answer to 7 down as partridge. The clue was " Blame mud, say - eachof these indiviually raised game."

Also 20 down "A lot of money in big house" I have got pile.

Unfortunately I cannot work out the thinking behind these answers.
Any clarification appreciated.

blame = rap
mud = dirt
say = eg
altogether, backwards = partridge
double meaning: pile is slang for a large house
