submission of entry

Hello

Just a quick question to ask if there is a consensus on when to submit entries. I have just finished a puzzle with closing date 20/01/12. Would people suggest sending it now or wait until nearer the date?

I don't know about a concensus, but personally I'd submit when I've finished. I may forget otherwise....

If it's a postal one, I leave it until as late as I dare and hope that it is at the top of the pile of post when they pick a winner out lol.

A few years ago, I won a prize in a competition before the closing date! Can't remember who was running it - possibly a local newspaper.
