Listener 4184: Claim by Raich

Having struggled to get started, I found the claim with less than half of the grid filled. Now I am struggling again with the final few answers. Lots of fun though.

Everything understood and an enjoyable solve but I'm struggling to determine in which clue the fourth letter of the "claim" is found. Any advice?

Everything but 5dn/15ac - and I only have twenty squares shaded in - can't see the final twist. A fun puzzle, though. I second the Ifor puzzle - much tougher...

I certainly found this the easiest Listener for a while. Is it just me misunderstanding the clue, or does 36A use an indirect anagram? (I thought they were forbidden).

Oh yes - I see a different way of reaching the answer without using an indirect anagram. Fair enough..

Not sure what to make of this one. Clever construction - I, like many I suspect, was held up for a while in one area of the grid - but not sure about the use of so many proper nouns. Some are always acceptable and to be encouraged, but there was too much googling involved for my liking. Still, overall a good puzzle with some tough cluing.

Yes, I thought 36ac was an indirect anagram, and even after looking at the BRB I can't find another interpretation. Interested to know so can anyone give me a hint that is within the rules but not too enigmatic for me to understand?

I don't think 36 ac is an anagram of any sort - direct or indirect.

nigel2 - the fourth extra letter is literally hidden within 17 across.

Re 36a, 'cover' to indicate 'coat' would be a definite no-no, but oc is an abbreviation in this case.
