could 15 be easy meat as in francis bacon ?
2nd) Dance Hall - Tony Hillerman wrote Dance Hall of the Dead
Dance Hall. Anybody else read his books?
Question Author
Dance Hall is fine - but 15 ac cannot be easy meat as the the second letter is definitely an E (quote from Tennyson) although the second word could be meat - did Francis Bacon mention dead meat perchance?
15a) left feet ???

Question Author
Sorry, just realised left feet w0nt do - has to be D from Hillerman Dance Hall
Back to drawing board folks!
Another string here establishes that DEAD CERT (a novel by Dick Francis, the title meaning "sure thing" or "shoo-in") belongs in 15ac.
