Thanks, tyrepill - I thought GUIDESHIP too but then I`m stuck with 25 across - Surrey town produces among others exuberant actor E_H_M. The h prevents EPSOM from being the answer. It could be ESHER but then there`s a problem with ANATOMIC as the answer for 16 down - the H of esher doesn`t fit. Help!

Sorry, boxtops for leaving you somewhat in the dark. you joined an earlier Q and A exchange with another enquirer so we were all some way down the track when you joined in so there didn`t seem to be any need to specify the DT - which everyone subscribes to anyway, don`t they?
