Get - the present tense of 'got'
If you are happy with the two letters you have (G&T) the missing one must be a vowel.
It won't be O. That leaves A,E,I,&U
Gat, git and gut have no possible connection therefore I would go with GET in thee hope that they mean GET is the present tense of got........possibly!
