Have you filled the second grid yet ? The further instructions tell you how to do this.

crosswhit99, If I have understood properly,after first instruction you end up with a blank grid?, then I filled in grid left to right top to bottom with the words 'deceiving' to 'don', then find slant wise expression?

Not quite gribble - the words 'deceiving' to 'don' are the definitions to entries (see 24 Ac, 13th across clue) in the second (blocked) grid. The instructions tell you how to construct the second grid.

many thanks crosswit99, so now I have blocked grid to complete, with one word definitions, I assume they must be in normal crossword order, hopefully it will not take too long, thanks again
