morning all, well I phoned and put in a complaint regarding these clues again, don't get the impression this was an easy phonecall it wasn't, she is friendly, and helpful, but admits she is not the right person I should be explaining this to, it really should be the company who compiles the crosswords, anyway it is a london based company, and I am not phoning london, she will phone with the 3 clues examples from sat crossword and get back to me later, after all it's monday morning and there's lots to get organized .

Hi gillian1000, no updates, she never returned my call nor did London. I did not send my entry away, I was not going to waste my stamp on guessing what answer they may have in front of them, they may phone tomorrow but I have appointments tomorrow, so they may phone at a bad time for me to discuss. Hi Katburd - the girl we usually speak to was off yesterday and only came back today. She was very helpful - she's speaking to the compiler later today in the hope of getting some improvement to the crossword. I told her not to hold her breath - if I worked for the DR I wouldn't be paying them.
So get your crosswords sent away and good luck folks!

Oh what a shame...and a waste of a stamp. A crossword should be a pleasure to complete not leave you tearing your hair out. I asked the girl at the DR for the compiler's phone number but she wouldn't give me it - I think she was worried what I might say to him lol

re compilers, London based company and they get this all done for free, they are not paying,that's is why she said she would phone and get them to phone me to discuss.
