I am still a bit mysrified by the phrasing of the clue as I had assumed that the answer is a collective noun for both the radius and the ulna. Perhaps Kate had a hangover

Ulnae: bone in the human forearm.+ in foreleg of a horse + in wing of a bird.
Perhaps that's what they mean by collectively.
