Last two but cannot get wordplay. Help appreciated.
24a making notes about conservative chopping and changing? I am sure it is Switching but why?
22d still, to some extent, having a final twist in tail. Pretty sure it is Quiet but cannot see why.

Thanks

quite with last two letters switched
still = quite and twist the last 2
22d to some extent = quite then switch last two letters
24a Switching (changing) - 'sing' (about) 'C(onservative)' (in=chopping) 'with' (and)

22d Quiet (still) - tail changed in 'quite' (to some extent)
