A highly entertaining gridfill this week (I am struggling over the last two squares - cells, whatever) and wondering whether there is a further pdm to come - though it is difficult to see how anything else could be hidden in the grid.
Thanks, Waterloo

Yes, emcee, we were faced with precisely that ambiguity caused by two possible entries of another. Enough said. I think it rather clever of Waterloo to have created what must be a unique solution.
If it's Waterloo it's usual to expect a puzzle where we have to enter answers in a novel way, and this was no exception. But, as others have written, this meant that the interest lay in the method of entry rather than a pdm towards the end which would help to solve the final few stubborn clues. For me, the last to be found was 18(ii) (because I was looking for the definition in the wrong place in the BRB).
Thanks to easylistener for pointing out the radio programme which I have enjoyed. I've still got half a dozen blanks on this one, but coming back the next morning often works, as suggested in the programme.
I still have 6 to go as well and am not finding it at all easy as the possibility of making mistakes en route is quite high. I have already discovered a couple, so am never quite confident of the initial letter I think is right. The low number of postings to date suggests others must be struggling too.
Proceeding steadily and reasonably optimistic of making it to the end but finding this rather joyless
Not as bad as knights tours, but felt like some of the same "try all paths" slogging at the end to get answers to some, like 16 and 20(ii). I prefer the Listeners where there is more to go after filling the grid, but at least the clues and method of entry made the grid fill here a reasonable challenge.
Four to go now. I can't believe how dense I was about the ones I have got today! I even read one of them in a thesaurus and rejected it in my mind. I only have one blank space now, so three of my answers are in there if all is right. It is 29 that is giving me a headache. Could someone just confirm that it starts with one of the letters of 25i. If not, it is back to the drawing board for me and I will send in last week's by itself, but as I am not all-correct and I have won a BRB, maybe I won't bother.
yes, 29 starts with the third entered letter of 25
Thanks doorbell. I had actually worked it out before looking for replies, and also worked out one mistake where I had mixed up my right and left, so to speak. I'm going to leave it at that and submit my entry.
Some tricky clues in here, I thought, probably even if there had been a bit more help from other entries. Last one solved for me was 12, although that was due to another incorrect entry. Last two completely understood are 16 (just now) and 2, which I still don't really get!
... think how 'rot' changes to 'hot' Jack
A tough, fair and well-constructed puzzle, no less enjoyable for having so many (40) unchecked cells (one of these is the initial of 16 jockie, though it is self-checked). In fact 5 cells were triply checked (6 if the self-checked cell in 1(ii) is included) and another 15 doubly checked. 26 was my favourite clue also. I did wonder why the NE and SE corners of the grid are missing ?
Dear, oh dear. Pass me the hat with the big D on! Thanks crosswhit99 - that's a great relief.
11 clues still unsolved. Time to call it a day.
Too many 4-letter words in there, which are difficult to work out, even when you have all the answers.

I've finished apart from the very last clue (46) - another of the 4-letter words. Just one square left unfilled - very frustrating!
Funny how often that happens to someone - as soon as you type in the question/comment, you think of the answer :) All done.
Deviant - let's just say that there's no hurry to turn anything green.
Well, there you go!
Phew. That took ages - thought on Sunday evening that it might be my first non-submission of the year, but slowly cracked the clues & got the last couple this morning. A PDM would have been nice for all that effort!
I really enjoyed this ... but wasn't it curious that it seemed to get harder the more you progressed?
