I can't see that one cupid4. If I could get 9a & 22a it might help. The third letter of 9a is the second letter of 7d and the third letter of 22a is the 8th letter of 7d. Clues are: 9a. Keen duck, nonetheless. (4) A??? 22a. Pass by, having saved face. (4). V???

I think dishonestly is right. I don't quite see it but i think "lovely" is DISH______Y. The rest of the letters are ONESTL. I can see"SET" in there but can't work out the ONL. I think 9a is AVID and 22a is VISA (PASS = VISA and it has a photo on the visa which could be the "saved face").

I'm off to bed now. Maybe things will be clearer in the morning - but it is a MONDAY morning feeling I'm worried about.
