BROWBEAT fits the letters and has BOW in it, but I don't see how that means Repercussions or has a colour.

Can anyone help me?

Why do 11 of the clues end with "in 2"? I can't make sense of it, even after solving 2!

2 is Colour so 10 is Blowback ie Black + anag of bow in the middle.
Thanks for explanation of Bark. 3 looks like motorman ie driver. isle is man but what about motor definition? 14 looks like aperitif an appetiser ape is primate but what about ritif? 8 down is a big mistake not a bad mistake.
