39d Oriel
oriel
Oriel certainly looks like the right answer but it was established in 1324 and Thomas Arnold was a fellow not an alumnus.

Thanks lie-in King. I thought alma mater meant where you went to school or college. All references to Arnold say that he went to C.Christie, so I am still somewhat puzzled. Has the venerable DT made a slight error do you think ?
