Thank you It just seems a rather pathetic clue (imho)
I suspect that initially, like me, you thought Hamlet with a capital H had a Shakespearean connection. I agree, a poor clue, but I suspect the setter sought to mislead us with that capital H.

I did realise a Hamlet is a place and thought not of Shakespeare. Most of the clues (and answers) are more convoluted !
