If stagnate is the correct answer for fester, then one of my other answer is wrong- the clue is " Ancient Egyptian funeral jar to hold entrails ( 7), i put " Canopic " , if canopic is correct then stagnate is wrong, the last letter of canopic " C " is the start of the clue Fester ( C?a?n?t? )
