Sheer joy from start to finish. What a splendid original idea. We had to be really organised to keep track of those different types of clue but have loved this solve. Thank you Zag!

Sorry, RuthRobin, you must have just beaten me to it! Ignore my thread.
Back from holiday and have just caught up on the previous two weeks offerings.
To be honest, my heart sank when I saw that the setter was Zag. I recall that his last offering (mathematical) produced a very low entry of which mine was not one. This, I think, is much more approachable if my surmise with about half a grid is correct. I hope that I am right.
A record finish for me - I gave up keeping track of the various types about halfway though, once it was obvious where we were going. Good fun though.
A bit too straightforward for The Listener, as once you've solved one of the 12-letter answers the rest come pretty easily. Enjoyable nonetheless.
Nice and gentle this week. Once the penny has dropped, the grid fill is fast.
Enjoyable, and a fast solve allows me to resume banging my head against the table with Wan's challenge in CAM 68.
Record speed for me too, a nice easy solve which allows me no excuse to divert attention from Scrabble study for the Easter tournament. Pleasant enough and should encourage newcomers.
I expected the theme to be 'Office Work'.

No 40 hour week required here. But I did raid the stationery cupboard to keep track of the clue types.
Sorry - a bit less enthusiastic than some about this!
Started at 11, finished while it was still Friday. Enjoyed it, but like others, stopped worrying about the clue categories less than halfway in. I suspect this was much harder work for the setter than the solver, as s/he couldn't do that!
I have a completed grid, but can't figure out the wordplay for 11a. Hints appreciated...
Nevermind, got it! And I didn't have a correct grid after all.
Having to wait for the newspaper boy this is the equivalent to the Friday night club for me so it must have been an easy one.
Enjoyable idea but easy clues meant it could be dispatched over the breakfast coffee.
Entertaining but easy puzzle. I thought I was comfortably in the Friday club by early evening - as usual "I thought" was a warning. I wasn't convinced about my answer to 11ac, but a quick look at word wizard today put me right.
Yes possibly my fastest grid fill ever. What was going on came after just a few clues solved and then the number of crosschecking letters allowed this to be completed apace. A nice concept but definitely one for newcomers to the Listener.
Most enjoyable, and some very straightforward cluing to allow newcomers an easy start. I thought a more obscure title might have been good, like Alekhine's "Office work". Has anyone thought that there could be a sequel to complete this? Thanks, Zag.
As I type this still two clues to go, annoyingly (I have ideas but cannot confirm), but the theme is all sorted. For a while was puzzled by the cross-checking entries, and then grabbed hold of the wrong end of the stick on 7d, but once the penny dropped the left half of the puzzle finally became clear. On the easy side even with all of the different clue types to keep track of.

In other news, may as well give my traditional University Challenge plug. A must-win match on Monday against Pembroke. Actually every game from now is win or bust... but one step at a time, eh?

Am I missing something with the two letter answers - what's the point of them?
I can't as yet see the point of the two letter answers either. Solo effort here this week as Mrs W is out all day, but a blank photocopied grid awaits her return.
