22 D. Believer rudely glib about hypocritical saint (6) p?p?s?

(I had a couple of possibilities, both ending 'st'/saint, but I wasn't sure if they were classed as offensive.)

This is my last one to get, so thanks for any help.

PAPIST = believer

rudely glib = PAT, hypocritical = PI, saint = S

Thanks, that was one of my possibilities - but I hadn't seen the 'pi' for hypocritical.
i suppose the clue should be split as 'believer rudely' and 'glib', not as i put it above
pi is short for pious and one definition for that is characterized by a hypocritical concern with virtue or religious devotion

Thanks again, bibblebub - the 'believer rudely' bit seems perfect. I knew 'pi' was short for 'pious' - goody-goody, holy etc but I didn't know the 'hypocritical' part.
you're very welcome
