I've recently started doing The Listener and was wondering about subscribing to The Magpie.

Is it worth joining?

I've usually found the Magpie crossword more difficult than the
ones in the Listener.

I'm not sure why this should be as some setters write puzzles for
both publications.

Why don't you try solving a few back numbers before making your
decision?

If you like the Listener, youll probably love Magpie. I only subscribe for the one numerical problem, as the others are too tough for me, usually, but I still think it's worth it.
