Down to my last two clues and time to start kicking myself no doubt.
10A One denies anger or tears (7) N_G_T_R ~ I'm thinking 'negator', but I can't parse the clue.
16D What many Ascot gentlemen have for somebody (3,6) T_P _E_S_N ~ top season; tip season; tip reason? I know nothing about horse racing, but maybe that's a red herring.
Thank you for any help.

Boxtops, I wonder if there's a typo in the clue and it should be 'to' instead of 'or'; in which case it could work with 'tears' as an anagram indicator. Thanks for replying.
