"silly Suffolk", Shaney?
When I was at primary school (in Suffolk, obviously) we were taught that 'silly' was a corruption of 'sealy (sp?)' which is an an Old English word for 'holy' (because the county has so many churches). So, obviously, Suffolk people are 'holy', whereas Norfolk people are simply 'good' (as in 'Norfolk'n'good'!)
