Could it be emit-hidden in clue, but that puts contrast wrong so I don't know although it does say start with C"surreptiously"?
sorry also anagram of mite
Question Author
Yes, i did at first think it was an anagram,of mite, but i think contrast is correct,
So do I bernedette but then it is the surreptitiously which is throwing me,probably way off the mark, sorry to confuse matters.
I think your crib is right
Question Author
Reason i thought answer to 27d ,might be crib ,was I have a vague notion ,crib might mean to complain ,clue is where every little mite might complain,
little mite ,might mean baby ??

Question Author
