According to this site we are mere robots carrying out our preordained roles'.
Everything we did, do, will do is outside our control. It's Fate !
If true what's Gods point in going through with the charade ?

http://www.gotquestions.org/if-God-knew.html

/To summarize, God knew that Satan would rebel and that Adam and Eve would sin in the Garden of Eden. With that knowledge, God still created Lucifer and Adam and Eve because creating them and ordaining the fall was part of His sovereign plan to manifest His glory in all its fullness. Even though the fall was foreknown and foreordained, our freedom in making choices is not violated because our free choices are the means by which God’s will is carried out./

Everything I do, I do it for you.
My posts are never irrelevant.
none of its real jeez!!
whereas mine generally are.
Half past five, but I prefer the blue one...
If it was foreknown that Adam and Eve would sin, He wouldn't have given them the chance, and would not have cast them out of the Garden of Eden. The Tower of Babel was a bit of a failure too, from what I can remember.
And i thought the excuse for everything bad, was human free will!

btw. All my posts are irrelevant.
Didn't you know, none of this is real ... we're in "The Matrix" ????
The reason humans have free will is that not long after god had created the universe he realised that he couldn't run it all by himself so ***'d off, which is why nobody has ever seen him.
That should be 'bugqered off ' not '***'d off', by the way.
Adam and Eve weren't real. It's just an allegorical myth.

askyourgran //If it was foreknown // But if it was not foreknown then God is neither Omniscient nor Omnipotent. And according to our five senses he doesn't exist either .
That leaves nothing for the theists . So what is his raison d'etre?
I suggest Modeller studies Jansenism. Many ( religious) answers may be found therein, but no atheist would be convinced.
The only "point" in being a human is procreation. And we do have a choice there - we can produce no children at all, or twenty, or something inbetween. Our choices will certainly make a difference in that respect.
I know I'm a bit hard of hearing but I'm not an elephant.
God is alive and well but working elsewhere in the universe on a less ambitious project.
Most Christians don't believe in Lucifer, I expect-the whole idea of a falling Angel and so on does seem a bit of myth, which is only in the Apocraphya of the Bible. He features in the Koran. They believe in Satan if they believe in any demonic entity.

Jehovah has given us free will...to either obey him or not...If we do, our future is good. If we don not, we do not have much of a future...we would be following Satan AND WILL END UP LIKE HIM...out of it.
So in the end, all we can do is choose our outcome...
Sadly only a few will survive...
(Psalm 37:9) For evil men will be done away with, But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth.
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.
There is no middle ground
I see you refer to Satan and not to Lucifer.

Soldiers have fought for God's will. That's where we get into trouble.

Believing our fate rests in the hands of an alleged arbitrary overseer of reality, that we alone are not solely and entirely responsible for our own survival and well-being, that's where we get into trouble.
