24 across is BINK. Are you sure of the E as I can find no words that fit with the letters KE-K?

I think it's Keek - Keep/store with the k from the beginning of 'kettle'. The 'k' at the end is definitely correct.
Unfortunately one of the meanings of link according to Chambers is also bank (obsolete). However it fits better with the concept of rejection of Kelvin nil K.

Bin - reject + K?

I prefer Bink - bin as 'reject' and k/Kelvin. I don't really see 'nil' as equating with 'reject'.
