Not to bad thanks Margo.On third different dose of anti-biotics this week to try and defeat a chest infection.Bit worrying as I have a pre op assessment and I want my respiratory/lung functions to show that I am fit enough for the Op.Silly thing is a CT Scan and Chest X ray both indicate my lungs are perfectly clear(No secondaries) so it is a trifle vexing.

Oh dear that sounds worrying let's hope the ab's kick in soon. Do you know when the op is likely to be? Hope you don't mind me asking- not nosy just concerned.

All being well mid September Margo.I must say the NHS are not dragging their heels on my behalf.For that I'm truly grateful and feel quite humble for all the care shown by them.

Hi Retro,As a copd sufferer I get frequent chest infections and after many trials I find that the best antibiotic for my chest infections is Erythromycin.

Thanks danny.Would you believe that is this weeks dose?Big dose to.2x250mg twice a day.Even gave a blood sample on Tuesday to test for whooping cough.I might be whooping mad but I'm not sure about whooping cough.The week before was Dyoxicylin and before that Amoxycillin.Hope Erythromicin works now.3rd day on them and I think,maybe,slight improvement.
