Having a lot of trouble with this one! Please help with answer to 20a. Book about libel bothered old maid (8) b?ni?s?? and 18d Bad to lose one month (4) ??ul. Many thanks
Farrwest - BONIBELL is an old (Spenserian) word for a maid. And 18d is ELUL, a month in the Jewish calendar. 'ILL' minus the 'I', and the 'E' and the 'U' are not indicated by the clue, i.e. they form part of the artist's name. Okay?
