Sqad, dannyk's answer was correct... BUT scorpiojo's was not only correct (and several seconds faster), it showed how the answer was reached. If Carelvt thinks that makes it a better answer, that's entirely valid.

jno....that is only part of the issue ( I don't agree).....this Carelvt gives BEST ANSWEr to every first post whether it is right or wrong.

That would not bother me, but when they reach 1,000 or 2,000 best answers, Buenchico makes a big splash heralding the achievements and all the back slappers come to the fore with sugary comments.

The REAL people who deserve BA are left high and dry.

Sir Oracle......NO......just perhaps a word to tho Crossword members re. the point of BEST ANSWERS and to one member in particular.

Yahoo Answers have a BEST ANSWER but do not have a Crossword section..........far fairer in my opinion.

We have an ABer...you who have "racked up" 1448 BA in 14 months....100 BA /month.......25 BA a week....almost all Crosswords and almost all due to one ABER.

Nothing against you.....but does that seem fair, when excellent posters are lucky to "knock up" 20 BA in 14 months, because their section is not the drop down easy of ...Crosswords?

A certain person mentioned (no names, no packdrill) will Google almost any topic and cut and paste from there, often at great length. The person comes across as extremely knowledgeable and thus gets BAs frequently. I have amassed 25, 23 of which were no better than anyone else's, and personally I couldn't give a flying *** if I had none.
