How Do You Solve Crossword Clues So Quickly

There are several people on here who get the answer and type it in, often with an explanation, before I have even read the clue! I have a little question. Are you all brilliant or do any of you do the crosswords early in the morning and sit and wait for someone to ask?

Usually buy the Sunday Times early...can sometimes see how a particular setter's mind works (unless it's Dean Meyer)....sometimes the same clues come round again

they all have crib sheets pinned up in front of them, grass, cept me, of course. ;)

I read the clue the poster has provided and try and work it out. I only buy the times on a saturday, and thats just for the cryptic crossword (which takes me days to solve!) Same as you, grasscarp - By the time i've hit submit, many others have answered the questions in much better detail than me!

And I have it on good authority that they go on regular speed-typing courses to keep up to, er, speed.

Thank you for informative and funny replies. There are several ABers I am completely in awe of. As soon as I see they are "on duty" I usually dont bother to even look at the question!
