Morning danny. I agreed to have 6mnths of chemo though some of the possible side effects are a bit daunting especially as I was told it would have about 2.5% benefit to me. Have to have a CT scan and further blood tests and should start in about 3 weeks time. 8 cycles of two weeks on medication and then one week off with blood tests in between each cycle. The medication will be oral tablet twice a day so no need to go to the Royal Marsden to get hooked up with chemo.I may not get any side effects if my good luck, so far, holds.
After all you have been through retro(of which I know very little)I guess it's just one more "inconvenience"to undergo, you can only weigh up the treatment on offer and go by the recommendations of medical people and of course what you think is best for you.Not an easy decision by any means,I wish you a good outcome and safe journey through it all.xx
