hs2 wins. we NEED to cut a few minutes off train journey times from London to the midlands. devon and cornwall? nothing important about them. what do they want a train for?
When you consider the huge sums of money that were spent on this link just a few months ago, and all the disruption that the work involved, I can't understand why the repairs should be showing signs of failing, when the weather lately hasn't been anything like as bad as it was last winter.
It has brought up the subject of the inland link again.....I would go for the short route and keep the coast for railway/steam train clubs and tourism.
This morning was foul - however, Slappy suggested on GMEB that tonight into tomorrow would be far worse and akin to pouring a bucket over us.....
I think it's in a different area, TWR, the work last year has held up - they had to close the station this morning as they thought the roof was going to cave in.
